“If you make just ONE of these mistakes, you could be unknowingly compromising your baby’s health…”
“Your baby depends on you even before birth… and many parents are harming them through ignorance.”
“Not everything your mother or neighbor told you is true… and some ‘traditional’ advice is now dangerous.”
CARE FOR A HEALTHY BABY
Today I'm going to speak frankly.
This video isn't meant to scare you…
It's to protect the life you're creating or hoping to create.
Because no one is born knowing how to be a parent.
But your baby will pay the consequences of what you do or don't do today.
NUMBER ONE CARE TIP: YOUR BODY IS YOUR BABY'S FIRST HOME
Everything you consume, breathe, and feel… your baby receives.
What you should do:
Take folic acid before and during pregnancy (it reduces spinal defects).
Eat whole foods (vegetables, eggs, fruits, protein).
Sleep at least 7 hours.
Drink plenty of water.
Get prenatal care starting in the first month.
What NOT to do:
Self-medicate, smoke, drink alcohol, or consume energy drinks.
Eat only junk food, ignore "minor" symptoms.
"A glass of wine won't hurt" False.
There is no safe amount of alcohol during pregnancy.
MOTHER'S STRESS DOES AFFECT THE BABY (significantly)
Constant stress can lead to:
Low birth weight, premature birth, respiratory problems,
more nervous babies
What to do:
Avoid arguments, take 10 minutes of deep breathing each day, walk, surround yourself with positive people.
What NOT to do:
Live in constant fear, take on other people's problems, repress emotions.
Uncomfortable reality:
A toxic environment is also inherited… emotionally.
THE FATHER ALSO HAS AN INFLUENCE (although many don't accept it)
Yes. What the father does before the pregnancy also matters.
What the father should do:
Get enough sleep, quit bad habits, provide emotional support to the mother, and accompany her to medical appointments.
What NOT to do:
Minimize symptoms, pressure the mother, create stress at home.
A healthy baby isn't just the mother's responsibility… it's the family's.
BASIC CARE AFTER BIRTH (KEY)
What YOU SHOULD do:
Put the baby to sleep on their back, maintain a stable temperature, exclusively breastfeed if possible, wash your hands before touching the baby, keep vaccinations up to date.
What YOU SHOULDN'T do:
Kiss the newborn, expose them to extreme heat or cold, compare them to other babies, sleep with stuffed animals or pillows nearby.
Deadly mistake:
Putting them to sleep on their stomach increases the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
Many parents will carry with them for the rest of their lives phrases like:
"If only I had known…"
"No one explained this to me…"
"I wish someone had warned us sooner…"
And that emotional weight never goes away.
Today you are receiving this information.
And that alone makes you a different kind of parent.
If you love your baby even before you have them…
If you want to do better than past generations…
